It has been more than eight years since the Ecomuseum de Cap de Cavalleria was inaugurated in 1997, and since then we have developed different activities to reach the goals set to consolidate the Ecomuseum as a dynamic cultural institution.

Our ongoing projects, most of them almost ready, are:

• New knowledge about the Romanization process in Minorca through the analysis of the material recovered from the Roman city of Sanisera and Sanitja

• Save the Tower!. 2007 Restoration Project

A picture is worth a thousand words. You can see for yourself how the defensive tower built in 1800 by the British Army has been allowed to fall into neglect. The tower is an emblematic figure of the port of Sanitja , and was part of the network of eleven fortifications than defended the island of Minorca .

The deterioration of the monument has accelerated due to the passage of time, the tramontana winds, and the effects of salt residue from the sea water. We have to act quickly, and we ask for your support. Help us!
